Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 1/2 pound (225g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper (any color), thinly sliced
- 1 zucchini, sliced into half-moons
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare the Steak and Shrimp (Medium Intensity):
- Season the thinly sliced steak and peeled shrimp with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Sear the Steak and Shrimp (Medium-High Intensity):
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced steak and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.
- Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the steak.
- Sauté the Vegetables (Medium Intensity):
- In the same skillet, add sliced onion, bell pepper, and zucchini.
- Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still slightly crisp.
- Add minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
- Combine Steak, Shrimp, and Vegetables (Medium Intensity):
- Return the seared steak and shrimp to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables.
- Drizzle lemon juice over the mixture and toss everything together until well combined. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Check for Seasoning (Low Intensity):
- Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Garnish and Serve (Low Intensity):
- Garnish the steak, shrimp, and veggie skillet with fresh chopped parsley.
- Serve hot, either on its own or over rice or pasta.
