Ingredients:

Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan.
2. Prepare the Oranges:
- Wash the oranges thoroughly. Cut them into quarters, removing any seeds. Place the orange quarters in a food processor and pulse until they are finely chopped.
3. Make the Cake Batter:
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy. Add the chopped oranges (including peel) to the egg mixture and blend until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
4. Bake the Cake:
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
5. Make the Syrup:
- While the cake is baking, prepare the syrup. In a small saucepan, heat the orange juice and honey over medium heat until the honey is dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside.
6. Cool and Soak:
- Once the cake is out of the oven, allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Use a skewer or toothpick to poke holes all over the cake.
- Pour the orange-honey syrup over the warm cake, allowing it to soak in. Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
7. Garnish and Serve:
- Once the cake is completely cooled, invert it onto a serving plate. If desired, dust the top with powdered sugar and garnish with sliced almonds and orange zest.
