Preparation Time: 2 hours
Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes
Total Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
Servings: 1 loaf
Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water (110°F/43°C)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
1. Activate the Yeast:
- In a small bowl, combine the warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the water and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
2. Prepare the Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the activated yeast mixture with the flour and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add olive oil and knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
3. First Rise:
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
4. Shape the Dough:
- Punch down the risen dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Shape it into a loaf.
5. Second Rise:
- Place the shaped dough into the greased Ninja Foodi inner pot or a cake pan that fits into the Foodi. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
6. Preheat the Ninja Foodi:
- Preheat the Ninja Foodi by turning on the Sauté function. Press the ‘Start/Stop’ button and let it preheat for a few minutes.
7. Bake in the Ninja Foodi:
- Once the Foodi is preheated, place the dough inside the pot or pan. Close the Foodi lid.
- Select the ‘Bake/Roast’ function and set the temperature to 375°F (190°C). Set the time to 25-30 minutes.
- Bake until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
8. Check for Doneness:
- Use a toothpick or skewer to check if the bread is done. It should come out clean when inserted into the center of the loaf.
9. Cool and Slice:
- Allow the homemade bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, slice and enjoy your freshly baked bread!
Note:
- Ensure that the Ninja Foodi pot or pan is preheated before placing the dough inside.
- You can experiment with different types of flour, such as whole wheat or bread flour, for variations in texture.
- Adjust the baking time based on your Ninja Foodi model and the size of the bread loaf.
